A SOUL’S WILL

As wind howled on a misty night
Her hands shivered as the street turned white
Staring at homes where fires burned bright
Looking for pieces lost in dark and light

Hopes, desires and smiles of past
Tender kisses,whispered promises of heart
To travel together to distant stars
Warm hearths and laughs for lives to last

Spring to summer spent in starry dreams
Autumn entwined in beautiful greens
Boughs stripped of leaves along winding streams
A cold fate's hand lurked,plotting unseen

A heart stopped beating, another was torn
Tears spilled in long nights forlorn
Wrapped in cold,stumbling along
Holding to soft smiles long gone

Wheels of time, fate and will
Held that flame alive,never still
Death of soul,of lives unfulfilled
Of times of bliss, passion and zeal

A joy unblemished,a life was born
A flower,another spring came along
Moments precious,held tight in palms
She promised to remember and go on

To the life they willed,a sacred call
To strength together in rise and fall
A will is precious,however small
A will of soul is a will above all
